The meeting was dedicated to “volunteering for people at risk of social exclusion”.

It was preceded by local activities. Three months before the trip to Italy, the partner schools established cooperation in the field of volunteering for people at risk of social exclusion in their local community and created a volunteering program for them.

As in the case of other mobilities, the activities in Italy were divided into modules – lecture, workshop and field. The module included theoretical classes in the field of exclusion. Knowledge and practical skills in the field of helping people at risk of exclusion were provided Social. The classes were conducted in collaboration with the “CESP” (Pratosardo Ethic and Social Laboratory) in Lariso Onlus, (https://www.lariso.it/cesp/).

The activities were aimed at acquiring skills and knowledge on diagnosing social needs in the school’s environment, mobilizing students and the local community to creative activities for volunteering, organizing and providing various forms of support for people at risk of social exclusion.

The training for employees “Promotion of volunteering, psychosocial aspects of volunteer work” was a joint activity of the partners in the area of exchange of good practices and mutual learning. The training was divided into theoretical, workshop and practical parts. In the theoretical part, each of the participants shared their experiences in promoting the idea of volunteering in their school and local community. The exchange of experiences took place through the preparation of a multimedia presentation and a discussion of the participants involved. An extremely important element of this part was the sharing of information on the difficulties in promoting volunteering and ways of overcoming these difficulties.

These activities allowed to increase the level of knowledge and skills of the training participants, led to increased activity and self-confidence in promoting the idea of volunteering.

New spaces have opened up for participants to promote volunteering and they will get rid of fears related to their own limitations.
